Some top political strategists are banding together to try and elect State Senate Republican Leah Vukmir (vook’meer) to the U-S Senate next year. The “Wisconsin Next PAC (pack)” has been formed to get Vukmir to defeat G-O-P hopeful Kevin Nicholson in a primary next August — and Democratic incumbent Tammy Baldwin next November. The “Super PAC” includes former state G-O-P director and Walker campaign manager Stephan Thompson — digital advisor Matt Oczkowski, who led data gathering and analytics for Donald Trump’s White House campaign last fall. The group says it also has experienced leaders as pollsters, fundraisers, communications advisers, and more. The Wisconsin Next PAC can raise unlimited funds and make independent expenses supporting Vukmir.
