On Saturday, September 30, 2017, at approximately 3:23 PM the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a tractor and implement versus car near the intersection of CTH H and Northbrook Rd in the Township of Luxemburg. Luxemburg Fire and Rescue Units, Casco/Lincoln First responders, Algoma Rescue as well as the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.
Investigation into the crash showed that a John Deere 8360R towing a Meyer forage wagon hauling silage failed to stop at the stop sign on Northbrook Rd striking a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu traveling south bound on CTH H.
The three occupants of the Chevrolet Malibu, a 23-year-old Luxemburg man, a 23-year-old German woman and a 3-month-old child were all transported by Luxemburg and Algoma Rescue to Green Bay hospitals with varying injuries that do not appear to be life threatening.
The occupant of the John Deere tractor, a 20-year-old Michigan man was treated at the scene for minor injuries and will be receiving citations as a result of the accident.
Investigation into the crash is continuing by the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Dept.
