In the aftermath of the largest mass shooting in modern history at a Las Vegas concert on Sunday night, area police departments have made active shooter training a top priority. De Pere Police officer Jedd Bradley praised the Vegas SWAT team, but said the situation was something they had never encountered. He went on to explain that it’s not just the police who need to be better prepared. He stated, “We have to train the public, because you are the first responders.” He said the best way to be prepared for a situation, is to plan ahead. Know where the exits are. Have a plan in your head before anything actually happens.
