The Arizona Diamondbacks win a wild National League Wild Card Game, 11-8 at home to eliminate Colorado. Former Milwaukee starter Zack Greinke lasted just three and two thirds innings after he almost blew a 6-0 lead by giving up four runs in the fourth. Ex Brewer Jorge De La Rosa made a brief relief appearance for the “D” Backs, and Archie Bradley got the win and helped his own cause with a two run triple. Former Milwaukee catcher Jonathan Lucroy hit two doubles and scored twice with an R-B-I, ex Brewer Mark Reynolds drove in a run, and Madison native Pat Neshek gave up two runs in relief for the Rockies. Arizona now plays the L-A Dodgers in a National League Division Series that begins tomorrow (Friday). Both American League series begin today (Thursday) with Boston at Houston, and the New York Yankees at Cleveland.
