The man who committed the Las Vegas shooting massacre also booked some rooms at a hotel in Chicago that faces an outdoor music festival that many Wisconsinites attend. U-S-A Today says Stephen Paddock booked two rooms at the Blackstone Hotel to start August first and third, with checkouts August sixth on both rooms. The hotel is next to the annual Lollapalooza music festival in downtown Chicago. Former President Barack Obama’s daughter Malia was reportedly among the tens of thousands at this year’s Lollapalooza two months ago — and Chicago Police say they’re checking into the report. The 64-year-old Paddock killed himself at the Vegas incident, in which he killed 59 people at a country music festival including Brookfield native Steve Berger and U-W Eau Claire graduate Philip Aurich (or’rick).
