A Brookfield East High School student has been taken into custody for an alleged threat involving a gun. School officials made an automated phone call to parents this (Friday) morning, saying that Brookfield Police relayed a complaint about a “potential threat of violence” — and a suspect identified in the complaint was in custody. The call also mentioned a heightened police presence at Brookfield East today (Friday), and officials said a student services team would speak with those who wanted support. The Elmbrook School District said it worked with Brookfield Police throughout the evening on Thursday and into the morning.
