The growing season will finally end tomorrow (Tuesday) morning in much of northwest Wisconsin. The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning from late tonight (Monday) until nine a-m Tuesday as far south as Rice Lake and Barron. Forecasters expect overnight lows to dip into the 20s, with widespread frost predicted in the northwest — and officials say sensitive outdoor plants could die if they’re left uncovered. A warmer than normal fall continues in the rest of Wisconsin, with lows predicted in the 40’s overnight from Green Bay southward — and Milwaukee expects rain tonight (Monday) with mild lows in the mid 50s.
