Wisconsin NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth moves up two places to ninth in the playoff standings, after he finished eleventh on Sunday in the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte. The Cambridge native must pass at least one driver in the standings during the next two races in order to make the third round of the Monster Energy Series’ playoffs. Martin Truex Junior won the race, and he remains in first. Non playoff driver Paul Menard of Eau Claire took 19th at Charlotte, and Beloit born Danica Patrick was 38 after a crash more than two thirds of the way through.
