A suburban Milwaukee woman will get a mandatory life prison sentence three days before Christmas, after she was found guilty of killing her boyfriend. Jurors deliberated late Friday and again for five hours on Monday before convicting 28-year-old Brittany Baier of first degree intentional homicide and illegal firearm possession in the shooting death of 27-year-old Terrance Tucker at their home in West Allis last December 20th. Jurors did not buy the defendant’s claim that she suffered from “battered woman syndrome” as the result of physical and emotional abuse for hours before the shooting. Officials say they argued about her damaging marijuana plants owned by the couple. As part of the her sentence, the judge can set a minimum date for a supervised release.
