A 10 year old Two Rivers boy has been honored for saving the life of a 6 year old family member after he began downing in a swimming pool in early August. The two were diving for submersible toys in the deep end of a pool, when Nathan Hawke noticed his cousin Richard Villancourt (VY-lin-court) hadn’t resurfaced as quickly as he should have. Young Nathan alerted family members who immediately jumped in to retrieve the boy, and give him life-saving CPR. On Tuesday, Nathan was honored by the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department with a plaque representing the “Sheriff’s Civilian Valor Citation”.
