The Green Bay Packers are apparently making good on their promise to promote from within as they replace the injured Aaron Rodgers. This (Monday) afternoon, the team elevated second-year quarterback Joe Callahan from their practice squad. And they put corner Quinten Rollins on injured reserve so Callahan could have a spot on Green Bay’s 53 man roster. Rodgers could be out for the season after he broke his right collarbone in Sunday’s 23-10 loss at Minnesota. Callahan has had two stints with the Packers since signing as an undrafted rookie last May from Division Three Wesley College. Green Bay let him go last October, and he was with New Orleans and Cleveland before returning to the Pack last December. Rollins, a third year corner, left Sunday’s Minnesota loss with an injured ankle.
