A 37- year- old Manitowoc man accused of stealing two vehicles from the Holiday House appeared for a bail hearing this afternoon (yesterday). Issac Ruesch (roosch) is charged with two counts of operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent and burglary to a building or dwelling. A police report indicates that an officer observed a pickup truck at a stop sign at Johnston Drive and Reed Avenue late yesterday (Thursday) afternoon and noticed the driver was hiding his face and that the truck didn’t have registration plates and matched a description of a vehicle stolen from Holiday House earlier in the day. Authorities were- able- to locate the unit at a gas station in the 700 block of North 11th Street. Once they made contact with him he originally said he bought the truck from Texas but admitted he had no title or registration plates. An investigation revealed the vehicle identification number of the truck matched that of a truck stolen from Holiday House. Ruesch then allegedly admitted to breaking windows stealing keys to the vehicles—taking and operating them without consent causing an accident at storage units. He’s free on a $3000 recognizance bond with conditions that he have no contact with Holiday House or any of their properties. His initial appearance is scheduled for November 13th at 2:30.
