The village clerk’s office in Germantown has been a revolving door as of late. And its two positions are currently empty after deputy clerk Kathy Struebe resigned October 20th, and village clerk Julie Jordan left last Wednesday after only one day on the job. Steve Kreklow, who was appointed recently as Germantown’s new village administrator, says he’s not sure what has happened in the past — but for now, he says other village employees are staffing the clerk’s office and there are good candidates being considered as replacements. Jordan cited a personal matter in leaving that had nothing to do with the village. And Kreklow does not believe an investigation is needed after six deputy clerks have come and gone in two years.
