We’re now learning that a Green Bay man who drove the wrong way did a lot more than kill himself and two others in a head on crash last Friday night. Thirty-eight-year-old Todd Beyer cast a cloud at a wedding rehearsal in Door County that four of the groom’s family members were on their way to attending — but the wedding still went on the next day. Groom Nick Eckes lost his mother and grandmother in the accident — and his sister and father were hospitalized. They were coming from Appleton and were on the Highway 57 freeway near Green Bay when Beyer drove in the wrong lanes and struck the Eckes car — and investigators are trying out find why. The Reverend Dan Thews tells the Appleton Post Crescent that Lynn and Danielle Eckes decided to keep the wedding on as a statement that “love is bigger than death, and death doesn’t win.”
