A settlement has been reached in a wrongful death suit filed by the estate of a man killed when his motorcycle struck a cow in western Wisconsin. Fifty-six-year-old David Kelch of Arkansaw died April 15th when his bike struck a cow owned by Robert Krings of Plum City that stepped onto a road from a property owned by Krings’ father James in the Pierce County town of Rock Elm. Both Krings were defendants in the suit, the terms of which were sealed. The Pierce County Herald says the settlement was awarded October 19th to Kelch’s six-year-old daughter, who was her father’s only surviving heir.
