It’s Day Two of the signups for next year’s coverage from the Affordable Care Act. And President Donald Trump used Day One to try to keep chipping away at the ability of Obamacare recipients to find affordable coverage. Trump tweeted Wednesday that Congress should repeal the law’s individual requirement to buy health insurance — and use the savings for middle class tax cuts. About 217-thousand Wisconsinites are getting their coverage from Obamacare this year — and many will have to find new plans after their current companies withdrew due to high costs. They’ll have an earlier deadline for open enrollment — December 15th instead of January 31st — and premium hikes from the private insurers still in Obamacare will be covered by the tax breaks that low to middle income people will continue to get.
