A subsidiary of the Oshkosh Corporation is taking control of a warehouse it used to rent, and keeping it from closing. The Ryder System said earlier this week it would close its warehouse in Greenville, near Appleton, by the end of the year — and 159 people would put out of work. Oshkosh Logistics, a subsidiary of the company best known for making military trucks, says it will assume the operations and management of the warehouse. The firm says it will work with Ryder to assure a smooth transition, and all Ryder Logistics employees are encouraged to apply with Oshkosh.
