Manufacturing activity in southeast Wisconsin is at its highest in three years. That’s according to a survey of industrial purchasing managers, conducted by Marquette University and the Milwaukee chapter of the Institute for Supply Management. They said the regional manufacturing index for October was 63-point-six, up to 60-point-two in September. Anything above 50 shows overall growth. The index rose for the second month in a row, after it fell during the summer.
