An investigation is underway after a decomposing body was pulled from a lagoon in Milwaukee’s Mitchell Park. Police say the remains were found Sunday floating in the water near West Pierce and South 23rd streets. The victim’s identity hasn’t been released. Officers say a man walking his dog found the body Sunday afternoon in the Mitchell Park Pond. A dive team pulled the body from the pond at around 2:30 P-M Sunday. Investigators say it’s unknown how long the body was there. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner is expected to perform an autopsy.
