The Board of Commissioners of Public Lands has approved a State Trust Fund Loan for both the City of Kiel and he Village of Valders during their meeting yesterday. Of the over $8 million in loans that were approved, the City of Kiel will receive $300,000, and the Village of Valders will receive $130,000. The loans are to be used for Tax Incremental Financing projects within the cities. The BCPL runs entirely on program revenue, without taxpayer money, and donates 96% of every dollar earned to Wisconsin Public Schools. Their $32.1 million earned in 2017 is the sole source of state funding for K-12 library materials.
