Highway closed at the crossing between County R and County Q
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces the WIS 310 railroad crossing between County Road R and County Road Q in Manitowoc County is scheduled for surface repairs Tuesday, Nov. 14, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
WIS 310 traffic impact: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14
- WIS 310 will be CLOSED at the railroad tracks during the crossing work. Motorists will NOT be able to cross the railroad tracks at this location. A signed detour will be in place for eastbound and westbound WIS 310 traffic, and motorists on I-43 and US 10.
Detour route information:
- Northbound I-43 traffic destined for the city of Two Rivers will take the US 10 (Waldo Blvd) exit east to WIS 42 (Memorial Drive) to Two Rivers.
- Southbound I-43 traffic destined for the city of Two Rivers will take the WIS 147 exit and travel WIS 147 directly into Two Rivers.
- Westbound US 10 traffic destined for the city of Two Rivers will take southbound I-43 to eastbound US 10 (Waldo Blvd) to WIS 42 (Memorial Drive) to Two Rivers.
- Eastbound WIS 310 traffic will be directed to turn right (south) on County Road R, east on US 10 (Waldo Blvd), then north on WIS 42 (Memorial Drive) to rejoin eastbound WIS 310.
- Westbound WIS 310 traffic will be directed to turn right (south) on WIS 42 (Memorial Drive) to Waldo Blvd to northbound I-43 to rejoin westbound WIS 310.
- Access to WIS 310 east of the railroad tracks will be via County Road B
Bridge weight-restriction warning:
- No semi-trucks are allowed on County Road Q due to weight restrictions on bridges south and north of WIS 310.
State highway detour routes are in place for long haul trucks. Shorter, alternate routes are available to local traffic with knowledge of the local road system.
