Almost 130 jobs will be lost when a Canadian company closes its Fox Valley cheese plant. Montreal-baed Saputo says the plant now operating in Fond du Lac will shut down operations next May. Saputo business leaders say a savings of five-million dollars-a-year will be achieved by moving the current production to a new facility in Almena. Some of the employees will be given the opportunity to transfer to other locations owned by the company. Saputo company officials say they are trying to decrease operating costs and eliminate inefficiencies.
