The Wisconsin men’s basketball team is 2-0 after the season’s first weekend, with an 89-61 home rout of Yale Sunday evening. Four of the Badgers’ five starters scored in double figures, led by junior Khalil Iverson with a career high 17 as the U-W had a 46-30 scoring edge in the paint. Blake Reynolds scored 14 for Yale, which fell to 0-2 as the Bulldogs missed senior captain Makai Mason and 6-9 Jordan Brunch. Earlier Sunday, the Wisconsin women led by 33 points at the half as they rolled to an 80-66 home win against Charlotte in their season opener — and Suzanne Gilreath led the Badgers with 20 points. The U-W Milwaukee women will play Houston Friday night in New Orleans in the first consolation round of the Preseason W-N-I-T after the Panthers lost their first round game at Drake 77-73 Friday night.
