A Wisconsin Rapids area man is scheduled to be sentenced January 23rd after a jury convicted him of killing his wife’s lover. Wood County jurors took almost four hours Thursday before finding 59-year-old Mark Kusters guilty of a reduced charge of reckless homicide for shooting 42-year-old Richard Flynn to death in September of last year. Kusters claimed that his wife grabbed his collar and the gun he was carrying went off as he got pulled back. Flynn was shot while walking outside Kusters’ house. Prosecutors say Kusters planned the killing to get back at Flynn for having an affair with Trina Kusters, who claimed it was a one-night stand.
