Wisconsin NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth ends a losing streak of 51 races with a victory Sunday at the Can Am 500 at the Phoenix Raceway. Kenseth, who’s from Cambridge, passed Chase Elliott to take the lead with nine laps to go. Kenseth won his 39th career race — but unfortunately for him, the 45-year-old Kenseth was eliminated from the Monster Energy Series playoffs last month. And he said last weekend he would sit out 2018 after Joe Gibbs Racing said they would let him go after this year, and another team did not pick him up. Paul Menard of Eau Claire placed 15th at Phoenix, and Beloit born Danica Patrick was 25th.
