A third special election for the state Legislature is set for January 16th. Governor Scott Walker called the vote late Friday in the tenth Senate District in far western Wisconsin, where Republican Sheila Harsdorf of River Falls resigned after Walker named her as the next state agriculture secretary. G-O-P Assembly members Adam Zarchow and Shannon Zimmerman are reportedly planning to run in a primary that’s been set for December 19th. Those are same election dates for an Assembly seat given up by Democrat Cory Mason when he became the new mayor of Racine — and by Republican Bob Gannon of West Bend, who died last month.
