Wisconsin food shoppers who cook the Thanksgiving dinner will find it a little cheaper than last year. The state’s Farm Bureau Federation says the typical turkey and trimmings for a gathering of ten will cost 47-dollars,26-cents. That’s one-point-one-percent less than last Thanksgiving, and it’s the lowest since 2010 when the nation was just starting to get out of the Great Recession. The Farm Bureau says turkey, stuffing, and cranberries all cost less than last year, but the pumpkin pie is more expensive, along with sweet potatoes, rolls, and milk. All told, Wisconsinites are getting a great deal on their holiday meal with prices almost four-percent below the Farm Bureau’s national average.
