A traffic crash in Port Washington leaves a number of folks boiling — water, that is. Police say a driver slammed into a fire hydrant Wednesday, causing a loss of water and reduced water pressure for residents on the city’s south side. The water utility in Port Washington is fixing the damage and getting the pressure back up. Until then, folks are urged to boil their water before they drink it, at least until noon today (Thursday).
