Retired Wisconsin men’s basketball coach Bo Ryan is inducted into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame. Ryan and seven others joined the Hall Sunday night in Kansas City, crediting his success to bringing in team players for a career record of 747-233 mostly in 29 seasons at Madison and Division Three Platteville. The Badger men will play Baylor tonight (Monday) and either Creighton or U-C-L-A tomorrow (Tuesday) in the Hall of Fame Classic at Kansas City. In college basketball on Sunday, Jeremy Johnson made a jump shot with one second left off his own rebound, as the U-W Milwaukee men beat Elon of North Carolina 72-71 to win the U-W-M Black and Gold Shootout. The Panthers overcame a 19 point deficit late in the first half, as Brock Stull scored 21 points to help Milwaukee improve to 4-1 on the young season while Elon fell to 3-3.
