In his weekly column, Two Rivers City Manager Greg Buckley reminds every one of their responsibilities once the snow begins to fall. He stated, “City Ordinances require that snow and ice be cleared from the sidewalks adjacent to your property within 24 hours after the end of a precipitation event. If you are on a corner lot, that snow/ice removal responsibility extends to the curb line or ramps at the street corner. Failure to clear snow and ice from a public sidewalk in a timely manner can result in the City clearing the sidewalk, and billing you for the service. Minimum charge is $50.” He also reminded everyone that the City’s Winter Parking Ban, which prohibits parking on any City street between the hours of 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM, starts at 1:00 AM on December 1.
