In Hawaii, the Marquette men won their opening game at the Maui Invitational, defeating V-C-U 94-83 as Markus Howard scored 22 — and the Golden Eagles improved to 2-1 with a contest today (Tuesday) against sixth ranked Wichita State. And the U-W Green Bay men lost at Mississippi State, 77-68 as the Phoenix shot 39-percent in falling to 1-2.
