A 40-year-old Oshkosh man could go to prison for the rest of his life for providing the fentanyl and methamphetamines that killed an Appleton woman. Anthony Chaplin is scheduled to be sentenced February 20th to at least a mandatory 20 year term. That’s after he pleaded guilty Monday in federal court in Green Bay to charges of distributing drugs that resulted in death. Prosecutors say Chaplin received a batch of fentanyl from a supplier in Oshkosh, and he sold part it to the victim in his court case. Drug officers have linked Chaplin’s fentanyl with up to five drug overdose deaths in the Fox Valley, and the other four are still being investigated.
