Wisconsin’s largest airport is giving people more time to drop off and pick up larger numbers of passengers for Thanksgiving. Mitchell International in Milwaukee says it will extend its free parking from 30 minutes to 60 in its hourly spaces and surface lots. The extension is in effect from now through the end of Monday. Spokesman Harold Mester says the extra free parking time will help drivers avoid congestion on the road next to the baggage claim, and it will be easier to pick up friends and relatives flying in for the holiday. There will also be a lot of outgoing Wisconsinites leaving Mitchell. The Triple “A” says 82-thousand state residents will fly someplace between Wednesday and Sunday.
