Republicans warn that Foxconn and its prospects of 13-thousand jobs could disappear if voters choose Democrats next year. Representative Adam Neylon and Senator Dan Feyen, who chair the jobs committees in their respective houses, put out a statement Tuesday that in their words, “Democrats are so desperate to score a few cheap political points that they are willing to put hard working families at risk by creating a chilling effect on investment and job creation.” More than a half dozen Democrats are running for governor in 2018 — and they’re vowing to either stop or renegotiate taxpayer incentives for Foxconn’s new L-C-D screen plant in Racine County. Foxconn and the state have signed a contract. But Republican Governor Scott Walker broke a deal for transit trains in seven years ago to cancel a passenger rail line from Milwaukee to Madison, and train maker Talgo won ten-million dollars in a lawsuit.
