Authorities say the body of a 65-year-old Woodruff woman was found near Rainbow Falls in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula last week. The Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office isn’t releasing the victim’s name or the cause of her death. Investigators say they don’t know why she was in the area. A search for the missing woman was launched last Wednesday morning when authorities were told she might be in the Copper Peak and Black River Harbor areas. Her vehicle was found about two hours later and her body was nearby. Rainbow Falls is about 70 miles from Woodruff.
