If a constitutional convention is held, legislation has been signed setting up the way nine Wisconsin delegates would be chosen. Wisconsin is the 28th state to call for a convention which would add a balanced budget amendment to the U-S Constitution. Thirty-four states have to call for such a convention for it to be held. Governor Scott Walker signed the bill containing guidelines for the appointment of delegates Monday at the Capitol. Republican legislative leaders would appoint six delegates, Democrats would appoint two and Walker would choose one.
