Things won’t be so confusing when residents of Milwaukee park their vehicles this winter. The city’s winter parking restrictions go into effect Friday and, this time, there is no four-inch rule. The city admits the rule caused confusion among its residents because they were often unsure just how much snow had fallen. Now, people will only have to follow alternate side parking when the snow plows are working. Milwaukee city leaders are asking everyone to sign up for text alerts, which will officially let them know when a snow emergency is in effect.
