Vocal students at Silver Lake College will be performing a pair of concerts this weekend. The event is called “Christmas at Silver Lake”, and will take place on Dec. 2 in the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance on campus, 2406 S. Alverno Road in Manitowoc. Performances are at 2:30 PM and 7:00 PM, and will feature seasonal favorites such as, “Winter Wonderland,” “Let There Be Christmas” and “The First Noel,” among many others. The concert will feature the Silver Lake Chorale and the Silver Lake Concert Choir under the direction Jonathan Kim; the Silver Lake Jazz Ensemble and the Silver Lake Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. James Ackman; and the Silver Lake Handbell Ensemble under the direction of Sandra Eithun.
