The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources reports no fatalities were caused during the state’s nine-day gun deer season, which ended Sunday. Seven hunters were shot, with five of them accidental self-inflicted wounds. One duck hunter was hit by a stray bullet. The sale of deer-hunting licenses indicates there were fewer hunters than last year. A little over 588-thousand licenses were sold.
