There was a full slate of basketball last night. Starting with the girls in the Big east Conference, Manitowoc Lutheran improved to 3-1 after beating Sheboygan Christian 78-37, while Mishicot improved to 5-1 after topping Reedsville 78-36. St Mary’s Catholic edged Howards Grove 51-45 to win their 4th straight. Meanwhile Oostburg and Sheboygan Lutheran both improved to 3-0. Oostburg eked one out against Ozaukee 48-45, while Sheboygan Lutheran came out on top over Cedar Grove Belgium 52-42. Meanwhile in the FRCC, Ashwaubenon beat Green Bay Preble, 58-44. In the Packerland, Kewaunee snuck by Algoma 41-39, and Green Bay NEW Lutheran beat Sturgeon Bay 45-38. There were also a few nonconference boys basketball games as well. West De Pere handled Sheboygan North 73-54, Shiocton beat Hilbert 76-69, and Crivitz topped Algoma, 58-50.
There is another full slate of Games on the schedule for tonight. Starting with the boys in the Big East Conference, Manitowoc Lutheran plays host to Oostburg, Cedar Grove-Belgium is visiting Mishicot, Reedsville hits the road to take on Sheboygan County Christian, Sheboygan Lutheran is at Howards Grove, and Hilbert is at Random Lake. In the North Eastern Conference, Clintonvile is visiting Denmark. In non-conference action, Roncalli is traveling to Seymour, and Valders is at Waupun. On the girls schedule tonight, Valders is putting their undefeated record on the line when they travel to Roncalli, while Kiel travels to Two Rivers, Sheboygan Falls goes to Brillion and New Holstein invades Chilton. In the FRCC tonight, Manitowoc Lincoln aims for their 3rd win in a row when they open their conference action against Sheboygan South at JFK Fieldhouse. The boys game between Manitowoc Lutheran and Oostburg can be heard on 1240 AM WOMT and at www.womtradio.com, while the girls game between Valders and Roncalli can be heard on AM980 WCUB. All tip offs are scheduled for 7:15 PM.
