Silver Lake College senior biology major Anna Hall of Denmark, Wisconsin, was recently awarded a grant from TriBeta Research Foundation to use toward researching her senior thesis, “Sugar Content of Infant Formula: Obesity as Related to Early Nutrition.” TriBeta is an honor society for students dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. Hall spoke about why she chose the topic she did, saying, “The topic of infant formula as it relates to obesity is important to me because I am very interested in the impact added sugar has on our bodies; infancy seemed like a good place to start.”
