More than 100 gallons of hydraulic liquid leaked from Fincantieri Bay Ship in Sturgeon Bay last weekend. Television station W-B-A-Y reports that the spill was reported to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Bay Ship contacted nearby homeowners regarding possible property issues from the spill. The Sturgeon Bay Fire Department was called to the ship building company on November 25th. The department says the spill happened on the gantry crane and oil sprayed onto the street and sidewalks. Clean up crews used “oil dry” to sop up the spilled liquid.
