Both prosecution and defense were filing motions during a hearing in Chippewa County court Thursday. Twenty-two-year-old Jesse Lloyd is scheduled to go on trial in January. He’s accused of killing Kenneth Patterson in the town of Eagle Point March 14th, 2016. A former co-defendant has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge and Matthews Labrec could testify against Lloyd. A second motions hearing will be held before the trial starts. Four other people were charged in the case.
