A U-W Health plan to reduce expenses by 80-million dollars will include a reduction in workforce. Officials say the down-sizing will be done in a way to avoid disruption for the staff. They say they will try to save money by using agency labor, managing overtime and leaving open positions vacant. A press release indicates employees in positions being eliminated will be moved to other parts of the organization when possible. If a suitable job isn’t available within U-W Health, it has pledged to help those employees find positions elsewhere.
