The Brown County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two people who are suspected of putting a skimming device in a grocery store card reader last month. The man and woman are accused of installing the skimmer at a self-checkout location inside the Woodman’s Food Market in Howard. A store worker found the device and authorities were called. Woodman’s says it hasn’t been notified of any improper charges on customer credit cards. Skimming devices collect information from credit and debit cards, allowing the thieves to run up fraudulent charges.
