The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what appears to be the accidental shooting of a three-year-old boy. The child is reported to be in stable condition at Mile Bluff Medical Center. Deputies responded to the 9-1-1 call Monday at 6:00 p-m. A press release from the sheriff’s office says the boy is the son of Elroy Police Chief Tony Green and he shot himself with his father’s gun. The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation is handling the case. Another young person was shot in the same region last summer. In August, a 14-year-old boy was shot to death by his 10-year-old brother while they were playing “cops-and-robbers” in Loganville, about 30 miles from Elroy.
