December brings on the spring election campaign period in Wisconsin. On December 1st, candidates who are running for nonpartisan office were allowed to circulate nomination papers. Two judicial offices are up for the April 3, 2018 Spring Election. Justice of the Supreme Court Office, for the term of ten years, will expire on July 31, 2018. Current incumbent is Judge Mike Gableman. Also, the office of Manitowoc County Circuit Court Judge, Branch III, which is a six year term, will be on the ballot. The current incumbent Judge Gary Bendix has filed a Notification of Non-candidacy. Also on the spring ballot are the Manitowoc County Executive, all 25 supervisors on the Manitowoc County Board, the City of Two Rivers and Village of Mishicot multijurisdictional municipal judge, and offices on area school boards, village boards, and city councils.
