The Appleton man who threatened to replicate the Wausau area shooting spree was sentenced to a year and a half in prison on Friday. 62 year old Song Leng Vang made comments to a pair of men that he wanted to “do what the guy in Wausau did.” Vang was referring to the shooting spree that Nengmy Vang went on, which killed 4 people, including a police officer. Song Vang has a history of domestic violence, including threatening to strangle and kill his wife. He was sentenced on a charge of possession of a firearm contrary to a domestic abuse injunction and was ordered to serve five years on extended supervision after his release from prison.
