The Sturgeon Bay Police Department has released the names of the two officers involved in a domestic disturbance call which resulted in the accidental shooting of one of the officers. Sturgeon Bay Police officer Kyle Engebose and Door County Deputy Mike Reeths responded to a report of a man, later identified as 26 YEAR OLD Brian Cook, wielding a knife at his parents’ home. During the arrest, a rife on Engebose’s back fired, sending bullet fragments into the upper thigh of Reeths. He was treated at a Door County hospital and released the same day.
