The former executive director of the Midwest Horse Fair is going to face charges in connection with thefts from fair accounts. Rhonda Reese appeared in court Thursday after being arrested in a traffic stop Monday. A search warrant filed by police Tuesday says Reese used nearly 240-thousand dollars in fair accounts to make personal purchases, including payments toward her college tuition. Reese was abruptly fired in July after fair executives found she was stealing money and altering records to cover it up. Formal charges are expected in January.
